Luca Bianchi introduces himself as Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Slender hand, firm grip, green eyes that do not so much as flicker when Enzo mentions that Don Carlo has been in this neighbourhood forty years and knows the commissioner personally. Luca is not interested in the sanitation checklist. He wants the kitchen's financial logs, including invoices from one supplier the Corvis keep filed apart from everything else, because that supplier is a front for laundering money.
