E very year certain groups of animals move from one location to another one. Some of them might travel thousands of miles each spring and thousands of miles returning in the fall. T he change of seasons and change in the weather is basically the reason that animals migrate. They are looking for better food supplies, a safe place for giving birth to their young, and to find warmer weather.
How Do Animals Knows Where and When to Migrate?
T here are different signals including change in the weather, length of days, or availability of food that signal the animals that it might be time to relocate. As for knowing which way to go, scientists are not quite sure. Many believe that they are born with the sense of knowledge as to where to migrate. Scientists report that they are born with the instinct, which they get from their parents “genetically”.
