What are big cats?
Have you ever heard a lion’s roar? It can be quite scary! A male lion will roar to warn another male to stay off histerritory. A lion’s roar can be heard from 8 kilometres (5 miles) away.
Mammals Big cats such as lions are mammals. Mammals have fur or hair on their body and use lungs to breathe. They give birth to live young and babies feed on milk from their mother. Does this description sound familiar? It should – humans are also mammals.
