Frank Flees a Fish is a low level phonics reading book. It introduces CVCC, CCVC and some CCVCC words, and the High Frequency word out. Frank Flees A Fish covers the first set of basic letters and sounds that students meet in the early stages of a phonics teaching programme. It corresponds to Phase 4 of Letters and Sounds, the UK Government's synthetic phonics programme, but can be used for phonics reading practice to support any phonics programme. This title is part of Ransom Reading Stars, a structured reading programme for learning to read english. The series starts with a complete range of phonics titles to support any phonics teaching programme, and then provides a range of structured readers following the Book Band system.
