Selected Accomplishments

Developed innovative iPhone App.

Built iDefer, an iOS4 iPhone app available in the app store, as part of a two-

person development team. Conceptualized idea, generated scenarios, designed UI using Balsamiq, developed,

and tested.

Designed and integrated new application.

Recruited to design/integrate new self-directed health plan product for

Blue Cross Blue Shield of FL. Gathered and evaluated business requirements. Performed business and system

analyses. Developed migration strategy from stand-alone system to well integrated system on Empower platform.

Improved data information system.

For Volantec.biz client, Buildscape.com (internet-based building material

supplier), could not agree on how to set up their information system. Worked closely with client to gather business

requirements and define business terms. Conducted information analysis and modeling.

Laid foundation for new product application.

Poor communication between technical / non-technical groups

stunted development of new tool for DST Health Solutions (tool for business analysts to build HMO/PPO products

w/o writing code). Wrote product design tutorial, laying foundation for new app.

Independent / iPhone/iPad Developer,

Volantec.biz, Feb 2010 to Present. Built iDefer, an iOS4 iPhone app

available in the app store, as part of a two-person development team. Conceptualized the idea, generated

scenarios, designed UI using Balsamiq, developed, and tested. Used Objective-C, Xcode, Cocoa, Interface Builder,

UIKit, Core Data, Address Book, Internationalization. Also familiar with SudzC and REST. Contracted by Rain

(design agency in Utah) to expand an iPhone/iPad universal app and deliver by an impossible deadline.

2007 to 2010. SetFocus Business Intelligence Masters Program (trained in 2005 & 2008 SSIS, SSAS, SSRS,

(2007) SharePoint, PerformancePoint, Microsoft Visio), as well as started up real estate investment firm.

Technical Communicator / Trainer,

DST Health Solutions (health care solutions provider) 2005 to 2007.

Supported hardware/build environment for productivity engineering. Documented agile methodologies, and created

artifacts for sales and marketing. Trained COBOL developers in OOAD, UML and Java. Wrote tutorials.
