Copying Section Content Forward From Previous Terms in Blackboard Vista These instructions will demonstrate how to copy the content from an old section that you had previously taught tinto a new term’s section. You must be assigned to teach both the new section and the old. Specifically, you need designer access, which is the norm for instructors. If you don’t have designer access to both sections, contact your Distance Learning Director. 1. Do not open the new section (i.e., the one into which you want to copy the content from your old section) beforehand. 2. Determine which section you wish to copy by looking over the list of sections in your myBlackboard page course list. While you can’t do any real damage by making a mistake, getting it right the first time will save you days of frustration. You get only one shot at this process without needing the assistance of your Distance Learning staff. To determine which term (semester) a section ran in, check the term code that is included as part of the every section title.
