We show that thermalgluon uctuations in color- a vor locked superconductors can substantially increase their criticaltemperature and also change the order of the transition, which becomes a strong rst-orderphase transition. Moreover, we explore the e ects of strong magnetic elds on the propertiesof color- a vor locked superconducting matter. We nd that both the energy gaps as well asthe magnetization are oscillating functions of the magnetic eld. Also, it is shown that the can be so strong that homogeneous quark matter becomes metastable for a rangeof parameters. This points towards the existence of magnetic domains or other types of magneticinhomogeneities in the hypothesized quark cores of magnetars.
