Ever since the discovery ofmaterials with highly anisotropic properties, it has been recognized that uctuations playan important role above the three-dimensional phase transition. This regime where theprecursor uctuations are presented can be described by the so called uctuating gap model(FGM) which was derived from the Frohlich Hamiltonian to study the low energy physicsof the one-dimensional electron-phonon system.
