It is only to be understoodMarie Sk lodowska CurieAbstractPolycrystalline perovskite-type manganate phases, i.e. CaMn Nb O (x = 0.02,1 x x 30.05, 0.08, and 0.10) and LaMn Co O (x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.90, and 0.95) phases1 x x 3were studied regarding their thermoelectric properties for high-temperature applica-tions. Di erent synthesis methods were successfully applied, i.e. the conventionalsolid state reaction (SSR) method and the "chimie douce" synthesis routes, result-ing in highly-crystalline tailor-made perovskite particles with a diversity of particlesizes, morphologies, and microstructures. Perovskite-type manganates were investi-gated concerning their morphology, crystal structure, microstructure, thermal stabil-ity, and low-temperature magnetic properties.
