Denis Nardin disini menulis bagian kedua dari Daftar perpus- takaan mengenai Pilipina dalam bahasa Perancis; adapun bagian pertamanya yang meliputi buku-buku saja telah terbit dalam ARCHIPEL 9 (hal. 57-68). Sedang bagian kedua ini meliputi artikel-artikel yang dikumpulkan sebagai hasil penelitian 112 majalah dalam bahasa Perancis.
2. Yumsari Yusuf, curator of the Department of Manuscripts of the National Library in Jakarta, provides a transcription of an unpublished Malay manuscript, the Syair Burning Nuri (Poem of the Parrot), written in the middle of the 19th century at the court of Palembang. This long love poem, of which the protagonists are birds, is a good example of a type of literature still little known.
