Todo relato de ficción es también, en mayor o menor medida, una ficción de relato. No debemos extrañarnos ante la paradoja: tanto en el terreno de la metaficción, como en el de la literatura en general, todo se reduce a un juego de palabras. Una reflexión sobre la palabra como símbolo del relato desata el interés del autor por algo que, percibido primero como poderosa imagen poética, andando el tiempo y algunas lecturas llega a denominar metaficción.Were I to summarize the contents of this thesis in a few words, I would undoubtedly turn to this formulation: that fictional story-telling is also, to a large extent, fiction of story-telling.
