Statu quo im Umfeld eines besetzten Hauses Die Untersuchung, die uber einen « Squatt » in den Nord- vierteln von Paris gefuhrt wurde, zeigt, wie die staatlichen Vertreter sich an Situationen anpassen, deren ôffentliche Verwaltung nicht klar geregelt ist. Analysiert werden die « privaten Verwaltungsformen » (der Quartiersvereine), welche im Hinblick auf die « Ohnmacht » der ôffentlichen Gewalt eine kompensatorische Funktion ubernehmen sol- len. Als Symptom des Verfalls eines Viertels kristallisiert sich am « Squatt » das Verlassenheits- und Deklassierung- sgef?hl der Einwohner aus. In gleicher Perspektive bes- chreibt die Untersuchung auch die Strategien, welche die Hausbesetzer entwickelt haben, um auf die liber sie gebil- deten Urteile EinfluS zu gewinnen.
Statu quo around a squat This study of a northern Paris squat allows the author both to show the adaptations made by representatives of the State when faced with situations whose public management is unclear and to study the « private forms of management » (local associations) which step in to replace public authorities judged to be weak : a symptom of local deterioration, the squat focuses residents' feelings of abandonment and downward social mobility. In the same line, this study enables the author to analyze squatter strategies for impinging on the way they are seen.
