Taking up again the problem of Brown, we have asked ourselves whether the physics ratio v = e/t could be transposed in psychology. Our subjects are to compare the speed of two successive moving bodies, but also, in other sittings of the experiment, the dimensions of the space traveled over and the time taken each time. By comparing the direct estimation of speed to that calculated from estimations of space and time, one finds little or no difference in the values found.
However, more advanced experimentation allows us to think that in the case of short spaces there is a perception of greater speed than in the case of longer spaces. in other sittings of the experiment, the dimensions of the space traveled over and the time taken each time. By comparing the direct estimation of speed to that calculated from estimations of space and time, one finds little or no difference in the values found.
However, more advanced experimentation allows us to think that in the case of short spaces there is a perception of greater speed than in the case of longer spaces.
