Boal, Chair Wyoming Environmental Quality Council Herschler Building, Room 1714 th122 W. 25 Street Cheyenne, Wyoming 82002 Subject: EPA Action on Revisions to the Water Quality Rules and Regulations - Chapter 1, Wyoming Surface Water Quality Standards Dear Mr. Boal: The purpose of this letter is to notify you of the status of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 8 (EPA) review of the recent revisions to the Water Quality Rules and Regulations - Chapter 1, Wyoming Surface Water Quality Standards. These revisions were adopted by the Wyoming Environmental Quality Council (Council) on February 16, 2007 and submitted to EPA for review with a letter dated July 27, 2007 from John Corra, Director of the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). The submittal package included a statement of principal reasons and the adopted version of Chapter 1, Table A and Table B, and Implementation Policies. However, the submittal package was not complete until September 19, 2007 when EPA received certification from the Attorney General that the regulations were duly adopted pursuant to State law.
