Some comments included specific comments on the Highlands Council’s Draft Consistency Determination (CD), others were general comments on the project. In summary, the comments address the following issues: Supportive Comments • Believes that it is in the public interest to grant this exemption to protect public health and safety from the potential for blackouts and brownouts by 2012. • Believes that PSE&G has a strong record of environmental stewardship in New Jersey to build this project in a manner that is sensitive to the natural environment.
