Local climate reconstructions are ob-tained by a method, which is based on the idea of indicator taxa and usespresenceoftaxaasproxyvariable. Inpreviousstudies, theindicatortaxaap-proachhasbeenenhancedtoaprobabilisticBayesianreconstructionmethod,whichprovidesconditionalprobabilitydensityfunctionsasreconstructionre-sult.Up to now bivariate normal distributions or mixture models have been ap-pliedforreconstructingJanuaryandJulytemperatures. Athreedimensionalcopula approach exists for the incorporation of annual precipitation.
