..UNIVERSITAT BONNPhysikalisches InstitutMeasurement of beauty and charm cross sections inphotoproduction using decays into electrons withZEUS at HERAbyMarkus Jungst¨Photoproduction of heavy quarks in events with two jets and an electron associ-ated with one of the jets has been studied with the ZEUS detector using the datarecorded in the years 1996–2000 and 2006–2007, corresponding to an integrated1 1luminosity ofL = 120 pb andL = 190 pb , respectively. The fractions ofevents containing b quarks, and also of events containing c quarks, were extractedfrom a likelihood fit using variables sensitive to electron identification as well asto semileptonic decays. For the second data-set the list of variables sensitive tothe flavour could be extended using the additional information from the microver-texdetector.
