Baumann Summary Glaciers are good indicators of climate changes on various time-scales, especially maritime glaciers, which react very sensitively. Despite this, a respec-tive part of the research is still focusing and is based on the European Alps and does not clearly differentiate between glaciers in varying climate regimes. This has a special impact on forecasts of glacier behaviour by models and simulations.
