Hartmut Laatsch Tag der wissenschaftlichen Aussprache: September 15, 2011 Berlin 2011 D 83 Summary Isolation and Physicochemical Characterization of Novel Secondary Metabolites from Streptomyces strains Acta 3662, BK 190 and Acta 3062 This thesis reports on the isolation and the physicochemical characterization, including UV/Vis studies, mass spectrometry, 1D- and 2D-NMR spectroscopy, IR and the optical activity, of novel secondary metabolites isolated from three Streptomyces strains, Acta 3662, BK 190 and Acta 3062. The strains were isolated during a chemical screening program to detect novel secondary metabolites from actinomycetes for pharmaceutical applications in cooperation with the group of Prof. Hans-Peter Fiedler (Universität Tübingen).
