Therefore, the present work is confined to the description of2+my most recent study on ”GABA-induced Ca Transients in Hippocam-pal Astrocytes”. A manuscript describing these results will be submittedfor publication in winter 2007. In addition, I included all reprints or sub-mitted manuscripts in the appendix (page 122ff), where I also detail mycontributions to each publication.
