Hannover, den 11.01.2007 Sandrin Tilman Feig Abstract To investigate the effect of water on phase relations and compositions in a basaltic system, crystallization experiments in internally heated pressure vessels at pressures of 100, 200 and 500 MPa in a temperature range of 940 to 1220°C were performed. In the experiments, the water content of the system was varied from “nominally dry” to water-saturated conditions.
