Reiser, FACR, FRCR Date of oral examination: 04.05.2010 i ZUSAMMENFASSUNG Hintergrund: C-reaktives Protein (CRP), das klassische Akute Phase Protein, zeigt, unabhängig von anderen bekannten Risikofaktoren wie Body Mass Index (BMI), Alter und Cholesterinspiegel, einen Zusammenhang mit kardiovaskulären Ereignissen. Bei Patienten mit kardiovaskulärem Risikoprofil werden einer auf CRP basierenden Therapieentscheidung meist ein oder zwei CRP-Messungen zugrunde gelegt.
