The five-dimensionaltheory is obtained by compactification on a Calabi-Yau three-fold, where we allowfor an arbitrary number of K¨ahler and complex structure moduli. This leads to a1five-dimensionalN = 1 gauged supergravity theory on the orbifold S /Z , coupled2to four-dimensionalN = 1 theories residing on the two orbifold fixed planes andN additional three-branes. We analyze some properties of this action, including thequaternionic structure of the hypermultiplet sector and its relation to the gaugedisometry.
