Prof. Dr. Alexander KhodjamirianDatum der Disputation: 26. Mar z 2010gedruckt auf alterungsbestan digem holz- und sau refreiem PapieriiiAbstractThe inclusive semileptonic decay B ! X l yields the best extracted value ofjV j with anc cbuncertainty of about 2 %, which is due to its precise theoretical description by the heavy-quarkexpansion (HQE) and the large amount of data collected by the B factories Babar and Belle.Besides the precision determination ofjV j and the HQE parameter it also enables us to test forcbnew physics e ects. Normally decays with a small standard model contribution are investigatedon the quest for new physics, like avour-changing neutral currents, which are suppressed in thestandard model by the GIM mechanism. But as right-handed weak currents are absent in thestandard model their appearance would be a smoking gun signal for new physics in the decayconsidered here.We will perform such an analysis, which is known form the leptonic sector as \Michel parameteranalysis". Contributions from possible new physics e ects will be derived with e ective eldtheory methods, yielding an enhanced b !
