At thesame time the emphasis is to shrink the size and power consumption of the hand held mobiledevices. A majority of the mobile RF transmitters employ in-phase and quadrature(IQ) vec-tor signal modulator and benefits from their capability to implement linear and non-linearmodulation standards. The drawback of IQ-transmitters is the non-linearity introduced bythe components constituting the transmitter i.e. digital to analog converters, mixers, phaseshifters, and power amplifiers.
