The awards – presented by Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence and OPEN from American SMExpress at the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Women's Business Conference – are part of the only national initiative dedicated to assisting the 97 percent of women entrepreneurs with businesses generating less than $1 million in annual revenues. The Make Mine a $Million Business program aims to foster a community of one million women-owned businesses at $1 million or more in annual revenue by 2010. The effort could help add up to * four million jobs and $700 billion to the US economy.
