XRules Tutorial Draft Version 0.43, November 7, 2005 Abstract This document is an introduction to XRules along with examples and illustrations of use cases and applications. XRules is an XML rules language that expresses constraints, calculations, interdependencies, and properties that describe and exist among elements and attributes of an XML document. Status of this document This document is a work in progress. Software implementations and test tools of the XRules specification are available for download from www.xrules.org. These implementations are used as a proof of concept and are updated regularly as the XRules specification evolves.
