It is not meant to be anexhaustive explanation of StudentChip, but will walk you through the steps required to answerbasic questions using the program. This tutorial is broken into the following sections: AccessingStudentChip and Finding a Dataset, Saving Your Output, Making Cross Tabs, Using theFrequency Option, Controlling for other Variables, Creating and Exporting Plots, Modifying aVariable, and Exiting the Program.The example we will use here focuses on the following questions: Are there differencesin the earnings of women and men, ages 35-44, in 1990? Do these differences decrease when welook at specific occupations?
