Forté CRM Tutorial Account Lists 1Account ListsAccount lists are logical groupings of accounts that simplify management andcommunication processes, such as enabling creation of documents or recording of notesfor the group as a whole. Account lists are particularly useful for creating a grouping ofaccounts that may only be needed temporarily. For example, a share broker may wish torecord those accounts (people, trusts, companies, etc.) who are interested in anupcoming new share offering. An account list can be used to group these accounts asthey show interest, and to provide a means of communicating relevant information to theinterested parties. Account lists operate similarly to Contact lists.Creating an Account ListStep 1: Launch the New Account List WizardTo create a new account list, click on the 'Account list' button at the top of the screen.The 'New Account List' screen will be displayed.Step 2: Enter Account List Name and OwnerName Enter a name that describes the purpose of the list. For example, ShareOffer: July 2007. The list name should be concise, preferably unique, andmeaningful to other users viewing the list. Owner Select the account manager who owns this list. If the list owner is differentto the one shown, click the 'Select' button to select a different accountmanager as list owner.
