Introduction This report presents the findings of a skills audit of firms in the Yatala Enterprise Area (YEA). This study covered consultation with seventy firms and forms a major component of the Yatala Enterprise Area Skills, Labour and Services Audit Project. The key focus of the project is to link labour, skills, and services from the Beenleigh and Eagleby area into the Yatala Enterprise Area. This report provides information on: The current level of demand for skills from firms in the YEA. The level of interest in working with services providers and businesses in the Beenleigh and Eagleby area on skills and service supply. Profile information on employment. Interest in assistance and services to better meet the needs of employers in the YEA. Main Findings The YEA skills and labour audit survey identified strong future demand for skilled and semi skilled workers. Over the next twelve months there will be demand for an additional 2,326 staff. At the present time, 275 firms in YEA are estimated to employ 7,564 workers. ...
