UK RENAULT HERITAGE EVENTS 2009

The highlight of the Renault collectors’ calendar for 2009 will

once again be the World Series by Renault on 4

& 5

July.

This fifth season sees the event held for the second time at

Silverstone. Renault Histoire & Collection will exhibit and

demonstrate ten historic vehicles that tell the history of

Renault, capped off with Jean Ragnotti's famous show.

There will of course be a full weekend of racing including

Formula Renault and Megane Trophy with the exciting new

look cars.

There are 400 dedicated infield parking display places

available for collectors who own a Renault marketed before

1979, or any Alpine model or any vehicle from the Renault

Sport range (or any unusual Renault or Renault powered

vehicle). These places are available on a first come first served basis to members of all Renault Clubs. Last year

saw over 300 Renault vehicles on display, everything from a 1909 Type AX to the latest Renaultsport Clio!

The entry fee is just £10 (10 euro) per car (except for pre-1945 vehicles where

there is no fee). Once registered, collectors will be sent a windscreen pass that will

admit the driver and vehicle with up to 4 additional passengers for the whole

weekend. There is no need to apply for the general free tickets for the event as

these will be included with the pass. The driver will also receive a free goody bag

from Renault Histoire & Collection on signing in.

Unfortunately for reasons related to security and timing, we can no longer organize

collectors' parades at the meeting. However as usual there will be dedicated rest

and refreshment facilities for collectors and all registered vehicles will be

automatically entered into the Meguiar’s sponsored concours.

Prizes and trophies will be awarded at a Gala

evening to be held on Saturday night. As well as

great food, the evening usually includes exclusive

videos and celebrity driver interviews. It is open to

everyone displaying a vehicle (and their guests)

and the cost is always very reasonable thanks to

support from Renault UK and Meguiar’s UK. Last year over 200 people attended

including collectors, the Renault Histoire & Collection team and representatives

from Renault UK.

May and the Bromley Pageant of Motoring on 14

June. In addition

Renault UK have kindly provided a hospitality unit for collectors at both events and Meguiar’s UK have provided

prizes for the concours. There are 60 display places available at each event open to members of all Renault Clubs

with eligible vehicles. Special reduced admission rates have been negotiated for both events. Again for more
