ANCIENNE PROTECTION

Système de protection avec des pneumatiques et conveyer-belt Nous avons analysé les protections sur différents circuits automobiles. Les protections en place sont : pneus avec ou sans tube polyéthylène, bande conveyor-belt F1, barrières de plastique, suivant cahier des charges de la F.I.A Aucune de ces protections n’ont donné entière satisfaction. Leur mise en place est difficile et longue, l’entretien est lourd, la manipulation fastidieuse et les performances limitées.

OLD PROTECTION

Sytem of protection with tyres and conveyor-belt We have analyzed several types of protections on different circuits. Previously race tracks were protected with rows of tyres (with or without polyethylene tubes and with F1 conveyer belts) as well other type protection, plastic barriers. However, performance was limited and no system gave enough protection on the circuit to comply with current F.I.A regulations. Additionally, installation was lengthy and both installation and maintenance were difficult.

NOUVELLE PROTECTION SUR CIRCUIT NEW TYPE OF PROTECTION ON TRACK

Après cinq années de recherche et de développement, nous avons mis au point un bloc technique ' TECPRO ' pour les circuits automobile (F1), en collaboration avec un bureau d'étude spécialisé, la société DEKRA et la FIA.

Le produit ' TECPRO ' est un bloc roto moulé en polyéthylène souple. Dimensions (cm) : 150 L X 120 h X 60 l. Poids : 120 Kg. Trois sangles de 15 cm de large d’une résistance de 20T/cm² le traversent. Il est rempli de mousse souple injectée (à densité modulable). Une feuille métallique en forme de tunnel, placée au centre renforce le plot. Ses principales qualités sont : - Pouvoir d’absorption important - Ne peut se désolidariser - Ne peut être traversé par un véhicule (test 218 km/h) - Facilité d’installation et d’entretien - Diminution des ‘G’ d’impact

Le système TECPRO est protégé par le brevet international.

After a five year research and development program in collaboration with DEKRA, the FIA Institute and the research laboratory (an innovator in rotational moulding). TECPRO has developed a high security barrier for use on Formula 1 circuits. The TECPRO barriers is made from the rotational moulding of flexible polyethylene as follows. Dimensions (cm) : 150 L ×120 h × 60 w. Weighs :120kg 3 nylon straps of 15 cm with resistance of up to 20T/cm². The barrier is filled with injected 'bendy' foam of flexible density. A metallic sheet is placed at the centre which reinforces the barrier. The main advantages of using TECPRO Barrier are: - Maximum amount of energy absorption. - Does not collapse upon impact. - Cannot be over-ridden by F1 car (test 218 km/h). - Reduction of impact “G” force. - Ease of installation - Cost effective maintenance.

TECPRO System is protected by International Patent.

CRASH TEST / TECPRO - FIA - DEKRA CRASH TEST / TECPRO - FIA - DEKRA

Depuis cinq ans, la société DEKRA pratique, sur les blocs TECPRO, l'ensemble des tests préconisé par la FIA. Les essais qui ont été menés dans différentes conditions climatiques, avec des vitesses d'impacts variables (60, 140, 160, 170, 187 et 218 km/h) ont été jugés excellents par les techniciens, les ingésnieurs et les représentants de la FIA.

A chaque test : a) Les ‘G’ de décélération enregistrés avec le bloc TECPRO ont été Inférieurs aux autres systèmes testés. b) La ligne de TECPRO ne s’est pas désolidarisée. c) Le véhicule n’a pas traversé le plot percuté. d) Le véhicule a pu être dégagé manuellement.

TECPRO have attended the FIA crash tests over the last five years at different speed levels such as 60 km/h, 140 km/h, 160 km/h 170 km/h, 187 km/h and 218 km/h. Held under different climatic conditions, the Tests were declared successful by both Technicians, Engineers and FIA Representatives.

a) The TECPRO barriers had registered a high reduction of “G” force when compared with other tested systems. b) The TECPRO barriers did not collapse nor “explode” in a crash. c) The TECPRO barriers set up did not allow a vehicle to pass through the barrier. d) It was possible to manually detach the crashed vehicle from the TECPRO barrier.

CONCEPT GENERAL DE MISE EN PLACE GENERAL CONCEPT REGARDING SETUP

Préconisation d’installation de lignes TECPRO en protection des rails ou murets. Les barrières TECPRO peuvent s’adapter à tous les types de virages. La disposition des barrières s'étudie en fonction de la vitesse d’impact d’un véhicule.

1) Moyenne Vitesse : 1 ligne de blocs renforcés (R1) séparée du rail ou du muret par 2 blocs absorbants (R2).

2) Grande Vitesse : 2 lignes de blocs renforcés absorbants (R1) séparées entre elles par 1 bloc absorbant (R2) et séparées du rail ou du muret par 2 blocs absorbants (R2).

(1)La première ligne est constituée de blocs absorbants anti-perforation renforcés. (2)Les blocs rouges ont un rôle absorbants et forment un passage pour le personnel de sécurité.

TECPRO Barriers are adaptable to all kinds of corner. Barriers can be installed in a variety of ways. The provision of the barriers is studied in accordance with the impact speed of a vehicle.

1) Average speed: One row of reinforced barriers (R1) is installed in front the metallic or concrete barrier and is separated by another two absorbent barriers (R2) also working as tensioners.

2) High speed: Two row of reinforced barriers (R1) is installed and is separated by one single absorbent barrier (R2) in front of another row of reinforced barriers (R1) which in turn are separated by another two absorbent barriers-tensioners (R2) ahead of the metallic or concrete barrier .

The row consists of absorbent reinforced anti perforated blocks. The red blocks have a role of absorbing energy and can also be used as a passage for security personnels and marshals.
