and may vary.
Needles:
7mm (US 10.5) and 9mm (US 13)
Tension:
9 sts = 4” on 9mm (US 13) needles
over stocking stitch. Adjust needle size if
necessary to acheive the correct tension.

Pocket Linings:
Make 2 alike. With 9mm
(US 13) needles, cast on 12 sts and work 18
rows of stocking stitch. Place sts on a holder
to be worked later.
Back:
With 7mm (US 10.5) needles and
Brown, cast on 44 (48, 52, 56) sts. Work in
K1, P1 rib for 6 rows. Change to 9mm (US 13)
and work in stocking stitch for a further
6 rows. Continue by working from Graph 1
according to your size and change colours,
cast off for armholes and decrease for raglan
sleeves as indicated. When last row of graph
has been completed, cast off remaining sts
for back neck edge.
Right Front:
With 7mm (US 10.5) needles and
Brown, cast on 22 (24, 26, 28) sts. Work K1,
P1 rib for 6 rows. Change to 9mm (US 13) and
work in stocking stitch for a further 6 rows.
Continue by working from Graph 2 for Right
Front according to your size and change
colours as indicated.
Pocket Placement: When 10 rows of the
graph have been completed, make a pocket
opening as follows: K8 (10, 12, 14) work 12
sts in K1, P1 rib, K2. Next row: P2, work 12 sts
in K1, P1 rib, P 8 (10, 12, 14).
Work the last 2 rows, once more. Next row: K8
(10, 12, 14) cast off 12, K2. On the following
row, P2, slip 12 sts from pocket lining holder
with wrong side facing onto the left hand
needle, P8 (10, 12, 14).
Continue to work the rest of the graph,
casting off for armholes and shaping neck
and raglan edges according to your size.
Left Front:
Work as given for Right Front,
following Graph 2 for Left Front and reversing
pocket placement.
Sleeves:
Cast on 24 (26, 28, 30) sts and work
as given for Fronts for 12 rows, then continue
by following Graph 3 for each sleeve. After
graph has been completed, cast off remaining
6 sts.
Collar:
With 7mm (US 10.5) needles and
Brown, cast on 4 sts. Work in Garter Stitch for
22 (24, 26, 28) rows, increasing at the end of
every right side row. 16 (17, 18, 19) sts.
Change to Off White and work 2 rows.
Change to Black and work 2 rows. Change to
White and work 2 rows. Change to Brown and
work 22 (24, 26, 28) rows. Change to Off
White and work 2 rows. Change to Black and
work 2 rows. Change to White and work 2
rows. Change to Brown and work 22 (24, 26,
28) rows, decreasing at the end of every right
side row. 4 sts. Cast off.
Finishing:
Sew raglan edges of fronts and
back to corresponding raglan edges of
sleeves. Sew side seams. Sew pocket linings
to inside of jacket fronts. Sew collar from cast
off of front neck edges, along front neck
edge, across top of sleeves and across back
neck edge, matching centre of collar with
centre back of neck edge. With Off White and
7mm (US 10.5) needles, pick up and K44 (44,
52, 52) sts evenly along the edge of each
front. Cast off knitwise. Sew a 55 cm (55 cm,
60cm, 60cm) zipper by hand, close to the
teeth along the front edge.
