Since that period there have, by the report of the officers of thetwentyvolumes, forty-one hundred andreceived in the Bates Hall forty-four thousand and seventyIndex, although each enteredof which again came to hand too late to be inserted in the present 1%eighty-all in the Library. Fifty-nine hundred andin ihe interleaved copy ofthe Index of 1861, open to— such,— many of which, thoughthree more are duplicates, chiefly donations, indeed almost entirelydesirable and important, do not, of course, need to be a second time announced. There remain,therefore, volumes, which are represented in the presentthirty-three ...
