Description
by Maria Popova
“A page of Addison or of Irving will teach more of style than a whole manual of rules, whilst a story of Poe’s will impress upon the mind a more vivid notion of powerful and correct description and narration than will ten dry chapters of a bulky textbook.”
Lovecraft, History of a gentleman racist William Schnabel is a bad book. A very bad book. I have remorse for having bought and even more for lost time to read, I almost tell you, for everything. But we must sometimes knowledge from mistakes and share it with others and that is why I will devote some time to talk about this unfortunate trial.
