In November 2007 UCP Marjon appointed a new Director of Sport, Stan Cinnamond. Stan graduated from the University of Ulster with a B.A. (Hons) Degree in Sports Studies and also possesses a Diploma in Management Studies (Leisure) from Teeside Polytechnic and an M.A. in Leisure, Tourism and Service Management from the University of Central Lancashire. He has held posts as Director of Sport at Lancaster University (1990-2000) and Assistant Director, Institute of Human Performance, The University of Hong Kong (2000-2007).
