The Sawyer Standard Happy New Year! Now that we have experienced our first bitter cold snap of this sea- son, I want to provide you with a little insight around the process we use to determine whether students can go out- side for recess, during the cold days of Winter. Let me add that I believe it is imperative for children to spend time outdoors and we try to accommodate this whenever possible. That said, we make every effort to keep all students safe and that includes paying close attention to climate conditions and weather forecasts.
