PRIMERAS APROXIMACIONES ZOOMÉTRICAS Y FANERÓPTICAS AL PERRO DE CAREA LEONÉS(ZOOMETRIC AND PHANEROPTIC DESCRIPTION OF LEON SHEPHERD DOG)

Resumen
El presente estudio se realizó con el objetivo de realizar una primera aproximación al Perro de Carea Leonés. Esta agrupación racial está distribuida fundamentalmente en León y provincias limítrofes, y ejerce una función de manejo y guía de rebaños de ganado ovino, fundamentalmente. Se han realizado mediciones de 25 variables zoométricas así como apreciaciones fanerópticas a una muestra de 150 ejemplares (87 hembras y 63 machos). Los resultados obtenidos permiten realizar una descripción morfológica y zoométrica de la muestra de ejemplares de Perro de Carea Leonés localizados.
Abstract
The objective of the present study was to achieve a first approaching to the Leon Shepherd dog. This local breed is distributed basically in Leon and bordering provinces. They are needed to herd and conduct the sheep cattle. The account of animals considedered in this study was 150 (87 females and 63 males). Twenty five zoometric measurements has been collected, as well as phaneroptics notes. The obtained results allowed to outline a morphologic and zoometric description of the sample survey of Leon Shepherd Dog.
