Resumen
Con el objetivo de conocer la prevalencia y derivación de las enfermedades dermatológicas en atención primaria, se realizó un estudio prospectivo de mayo a octubre de 1989 en un centro de salud urbano, con el apoyo del dermatólogo y de medios iconográficos.
Los 395 casos considerados suponen el 4,85 % de todas las consultas. Un número restringido de diagnósticos
(11) suponen la mayor parte de las consultas (70 %). Un 19 % fue consultado al dermatólogo. El 23 % de los diagnósticos no eran consultados por el paciente, incluían dos tumores malignos.
Conclusiones: las enfermedades dermatológicas ocupan un lugar relevante de las consultas en atención
primaria
la formación dermatológica del médico de atención primaria debe orientarse a los diagnósticos
más frecuentes en su medio
es importante la detcción activa de las lesiones dermatológicas.
Abstract
With the aim of finding out the prevalence and the origin of the skin disease in Primary Health Care, a prospective study was carried out over the period of May to October of 1989 in. an urban health centre, with the support of the dermatologist and using iconographic means.
The 395 cases considered made up 4.85 % of all the medical examinations. A limited number of diagnoses (11) made up the majority of the medical examinations (70 %). 19 % were referred to the dermatologist. 23 % of those diagnosed were not consulted for the patient, including two malign tumours.
Conclusions: skin disease has a relevant place in Primary Health Care clinics
