El eufemismo como instrumento de manipulación social (Euphemism as an instrument of social manipulation)

Resumen
Este artículo pretende analizar los aspectos negativos produce el uso y abuso de eufemismos por parte de los medios de comunicación sobre la sociedad en general y la nuestra en particular. No pretende afirmar si son los políticos o los comunicadores los responsables de ello, sino únicamente describir una situación. El estudio comienza con una definición genérica del término y a continuación describe los sutiles cambios que se producen en su uso. populares y empleados hoy en día.
Abstract
This paper tries to analyse the negative effects of the use and abuse by the media of euphemisms in the society as a whole and ours in particular. It does not pretend to stablish if politicians or communicators are responsible for this
it only tries to describe a situation. The study begins with a generic definition of the term and then the subtle change in its use through time is described. The corpus of the paper deals with a series of ideas transmitted to society through the most popular and widely used euphemisms today.
