EL ESTILO DOCENTE UNIVERSITARIO EN RELACIÓN AL TIPO DE CLASE Y A LA DISCIPLINA ENSEÑADA/TEACHING STYLES AT UNIVERSITY: QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS IN TWO DISCIPLINES TAUGHT AND TWO CLASSES’ TYPES

RESUMEN
El presente artículo aborda los resultados obtenidos a partir de la utilización de una planilla de observación de clases en dos casos paradigmáticos: una cátedra de Ciencias Humanas y otra de Ciencias Exactas. El instrumento permitió registrar, a partir de las verbalizaciones públicas emitidas y los recursos didácticos utilizados, el estilo docente de los profesores observados (Jefe de Cátedra y Auxiliar, en cada caso). El análisis de los datos se hizo en dos direcciones: relacionando el estilo docente con los tipos de clases (teóricas y prácticas) y las disciplinas que enseñan (Ciencias Humanas o Exactas). Los resultados muestran que existen diferencias en el estilo docente según el tipo de clase y según la disciplina enseñada. Las primeras tienen que ver con clases más magistrales o participativas, según que las clases sean teóricas o prácticas
las segundas conciernen al carácter más discursivo de la enseñanza de asignatura humanística y, más ligada a imágenes, en el caso de epistemes exactas.
ABSTRACT
This paper shows the results obtained from a class observation instrument in two different cases: One in a Human Science class and the other in an Exact Science class. The tool registered, from the oral verbal expressions and the learning resources used as well, the teaching styles of the professors observed (chief of class and auxiliary in each case). The data analysis was done in two ways: by relating the teaching style to the types of classes (theoretical and practical) and the subjects taught (Human Sciences or Exact Sciences). Results show differences between the teaching style according to the type of class and according to the subject taught. The first ones deal with classical lectures or based on students activities either theoretical or practical
the other ones are concerned to the discursive teaching of the Humanistic subject and closer to images, as in the case of exact epistemes.
