COMPORTAMIENTO DE VACAS DE DIFERENTES EDADES AL PRIMER PARTO(BEHAVIOUR OF COWS OF DIFFERENT AGES AT FIRST CALVING)

Resumen
Se analizó la relación entre edad al primer parto con indicadores productivos y reproductivos en vacas lecheras en sistemas a pastoreo. Se trabajó con registros de 5131 vacas lecheras provenientes de 17 establecimientos comerciales, ubicados en los departamentos Castellanos e Iriondo de la Pcia. de Santa Fe (Argentina). Las vacas se ordenaron dentro de cada tambo de menor a mayor edad al primer parto y se dividieron en tres categorías de igual número: baja, media y alta edad al primer parto. Salvo para epp (p<0,05) no hubo diferencias significativas (p>0,05). La edad al primer parto, con estas condiciones de manejo y para estos sistemas de producción, no afecta el posterior comportamiento productivo y reproductivo de las vacas lecheras.
Abstract
The relationship between age at first calving and productive and reproductive indicators in milk cows in grazing systems was analysed. The work was done with registers of 5131 milky cows from 17 commercial dairy farms, located in the Castellanos and Iriondo Departments, in the Province of Santa Fe. The heifer's service were ordered in each farm from the youngest at first calving to the oldest
and they were divided in 3 categories: low, medium and high age at firs calving. Except for epp (p<0.05), there were no significant differences (p>0.05). The age at first calving, under these conditions and for these systems of production, does not affect the posterior productive and reproductive behaviour of the milky cows.
