Abstract
The sugarcane pulp, considered the largest residue of the Brazilian agribusiness, although it is used as fuel for the kettles of the own plants, surplus an equivalent surplus to 20% of the generated total. This surplus for being fibrous food, with low use efficiency is little used by the ruminant ones. Among the used treatments, the chemists are the more employees, though they present limitations: the hydroxide of sodium reduces the
efficiency in the digestion of the fiber
the ammonization presents difficulty in the handling and intoxication risk
the urea, their effects on the representatives of the cellular wall have been contradictory. However, the
physical treatment of steam under pressure (SPP) it is what presented increase of the nutritional value of the material treaty, and it can be economically viable, since it is treated at the own plant. In bovine of cut it can
promote won of weight, of almost 1 kg/animal day, added with concentrated. For cows milk pans, it can come as potential resource for productions up to 4.500 kg of milk for nursing. Considering that his/her largest readiness, coincides with the forage time between harvests, the use of the BAH he/she reveals a great potential of use of this by-product in the feeding of ruminant, besides being a maintainable destiny to the residue.
