La fouille du dolmen de Chez Boucher à la Croix-sur-Gartempe a permis de récupérer un matériel très classique et souvent présent dans les monuments funéraires en Limousin. Le matériel recueilli peut être rattaché à la culture d'Artenac. De plus, on énumère ici les caractères de la culture matérielle artenacienne limousine (lithique et céramique), qui laissent apparaître un matériel commun sans originalité. On montre enfin les difficultés à situer chronologiquement l'Artenac-Limousin et, par là même, les carences de la recherche limousine.
Excavation of the dolmen at Chez Boucher near La Croix-sur-Gartempe allowed us to collect very classical objects which can often be found in the funerary monuments of the Limousin and linked to the Artenac culture. Moreover, this article deals with the characteristics of the local material culture (flint industry and pottery) that show common artefacts lacking in originality.
Finally, its presents the difficulties in dating the presence of the Artenac in the Limousin and thereby the shortcomings of the research in this particular area.
