It is a summary of the Council’s financial standing at one point in time. As Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Finance and Resources I am responsible for the accounts and am pleased to report that the statement shows that in 2004/2005 the Council delivered its services within budget and at the year-end it is positioned well to meet the challenge of future years. I am satisfied that these accounts present fairly the financial position of the Council at st31 March 2005 and its income and expenditure for the year. My thanks to all those that played a part.
