It has been lobbying for various options in the framework of the TEN-T review and on how to develop motorways of the sea. It has also played an active role in the development of EU maritime safety instruments, of which there have recently been an increasing number. The European Commission has opened a consultation process focusing on ten key questions in three areas (shifting the balance between modes, the financial and economic situation of the transport sectors and priorities for the future).
