SEC Publishes MIAX Form 1 Application on Website PR Newswire PRINCETON, New Jersey, Aug. 16, 2012 PRINCETON, New Jersey, Aug. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Miami International Securities Exchange, LLC ("MIAX") announced today that on August 15, 2012 its Form 1 Application was published on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (the "SEC") website along with a Notice of Filing of the Application (the "Notice"). MIAX has filed a Form 1 Application with the SEC to become a national securities exchange for the trading of options. It is anticipated that the Notice will be published in the Federal Register shortly. Once this publication is made, the public will be formally placed on notice of MIAX's filing. It also commences the 45-day statutory public comment period. The MIAX Options Exchange, which will be a fully-electronic options exchange, is planning to commence operations in October 2012, subject to SEC approval. The MIAX executive offices and technology development center are located in Princeton, New Jersey. The National Operations Center for the MIAX Options Exchange will be housed at the Princeton facility. Additional executive offices, as well as a multi-purpose training, meeting and conference center will be located in a state-of-the-art facility in Miami, Florida.
