Power Hungry Russian Economy Fuels Demand for Gensets, Finds Frost & Sullivan PR Newswire LONDON, Oct. 2, 2012 - Booming construction sector to provide the greatest growth opportunities in the next five years LONDON, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Russian genset market is distinguished by high growth, with increasing opportunities across various end-user levels. The market is projected to register a 9.7 per cent growth rate between 2010 and 2015. New analysis from Frost & Sullivan (http://www.energy.frost.com), Analysis of the Russian Genset Market, finds that the market earned revenues of $428 million in 2011 and estimates this to reach $614.9 million in 2015. The research covers gas and diesel gensets across key industrial, commercial, institutional and residential end-user sectors. "A robust Russian economy and increasing activity in the construction sector will boost the uptake of gensets," notes Frost & Sullivan Research Manager Malavika Tohani. "The explosion in data centres, backed by the growth in financial institutions around Moscow, will further push demand for back-up power gensets." A booming construction sector will provide the greatest growth opportunities in the next five years. The construction sector will receive a further fillip from a series of sporting events such as Formula1, the Winter Olympics (in 2014) and the World Cup football (in 2018).
