Become the Largest Multi-Channel Payment
Provider in Ireland
PR Newswire
LONDON, June 21, 2012
LONDON
,
June 21, 2012
/PRNewswire/ --
Retail integration with e-commerce allows merchants to take
payments anytime, anywhere, anyway.
Sage Pay, Ireland and the UK's leading payment processor, today announces
the rebrand of Integral Computers Limited, following its acquisition by Sage Pay
in
February 2012
. The rebrand establishes Sage Pay as Ireland's largest multi-
channel payments provider, combining Integral's 20 years of experience in the
cardholder present market with Sage Pay's extensive experience as the UK's
leading e-commerce payment gateway.
With the convergence of the in-store shopping experience, e-commerce and
mobile commerce, Sage Pay removes the complexity for retailers by providing
a full payment offering from one provider.
Multi-channel retailing is set to transform the opportunities available to Irish
merchants, by allowing businesses to accept payments across all shopping
channels, whether in-store, online, over the phone or on the go. The ability to
offer multiple engagement points for customers as been proven to drive
additional revenue for merchants in both increased sales and customer
retention*.
Sean Wilson, Managing Director of Sage Pay Ireland comments "Over the past
12 months, we have seen a huge shift towards multi-channel retailing, with
merchants eager to provide their shoppers with the best customer experience
possible in a rapidly evolving payment landscape. The rebranding of Integral to
Sage Pay coincides with our completion of a major phase of integration within
the overall Sage Pay organisation. Our combined capabilities not only allow
merchants to take advantage of these multi-channel opportunities, but brings
the reputation and stability of the Sage Pay brand to businesses and their
customers."
With 90% of respondents of a recent PWC global multichannel survey** having
shopped across multiple channels, the opportunity for Irish merchants to
increase their revenues and customer retention through providing a multi-
channel payment experiences is significant for the Irish economy.
