Domino's to Launch Gluten-Free Pizza PR Newswire LONDON, November 19, 2012 LONDON, November 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- - First pizza delivery company to launch pizza suitable for coeliacs - Domino's Pizza, the pizza delivery expert, is to launch a new gluten-free pizza on Monday [November 19, 2012]. The company is the UK's first major pizza delivery chain to provide a pizza which is suitable for coeliacs and those who are gluten-intolerant. Domino's Pizza Accredited by Coeliac UK, the national charity for people with coeliac disease, Domino's new gluten-free pizza will be available nationwide for delivery and collection orders from November 19, 2012. While some gluten-free products attract a premium, Domino's gluten-free pizza will be charged at the same price as its other pizzas. Following numerous requests from the general public, Domino's has spent the past four years searching the UK and overseas for a suitable supplier for the gluten-free base. After rigorous testing, the company has found a gluten-free base which meets Domino's high standards for both quality and taste. The new pizza base will also be suitable for those who are allergic to dairy or lactose-intolerant and, as all Domino's pizzas are made to order from scratch, it can be ordered without cheese to provide a dairy-free pizza. Simon Wallis, sales and marketing director for Domino's, said: "It's been a long time coming but we can't wait to officially launch our new gluten-free pizza.
